2024 Birthday Offering

The Birthday Offering of Presbyterian Women celebrates our history of generous giving. This year’s scripture comes from Genesis 50:21, “So have no fear; I myself will provide for you and your little ones.” In this way he reassured them, speaking kindly to them. Support the Birthday Offering so that organizations like the ones selected for 2024 will continue to thrive.

2024 Thank Offering

Each year, Presbyterian Women heeds Paul’s call to “supply the needs of the saints” through the PW Thank Offering. Originating in 1888, one generous woman, Eliza Clokey of Springfield, Ohio, called upon women to give a “thank offering to her Lord,” and today, we continue to answer that call through the support of the PW Thank Offering. When we come together to pool our money as Presbyterian Women, we can make a much greater impact than we can on our own.

Our Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • to work for justice and peace, and
  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Unity in the Harvest

“Presbyterian Women finds its unity within the harvest this triennium, not through a moment but through a movement. A movement created by the unity of our her-stories and the knowledge that we find our voices in the harvest with one another. As women and siblings of the church, we have a unique and critical opportunity to be and embody our PW Purpose. Our traditions are strong and our commitments to going where we are called to serve are long-standing. ” To read more of this story by Pam Snyder and Kelsey Law as it appears in the 2024 September/October issue of Horizons Magazine, click to order or subscribe.
